Kelim Gashgai Rug

The Gashgai are Turkish-speaking nomadic tribes who live in the region around Shiraz in southwestern Iran. Kilims are reversible, flat-woven wool rugs with a characteristic slit-weave structure, meaning the weft forms slits where the colors change.
