The Molcajete (mortar) has been used since the ancient Aztecs to grind herbs and spices and prepare authentic dishes with extraordinary flavors. Preferred by chefs, it is the best choice for preparing foods the traditional way. Great for grinding chilies, grains, nuts, and maize as well as mixing salsas and guacamole, the Casa Maria 8.5” Granite Stone Double Sided Mortar & Pestle releases food’s natural flavors and aromas much better than chopping for a superior homemade taste.
Includes:
(1) 8.5" Granite Mortar / Molcajete
(1) Granite Pestle
Instructions:
The inside of the mortar & pestle will need to be seasoned prior to use.
To season: grind salt or white rice into a fine powder. Repeat until the ground rice/salt is as white coming out of the mortar as it was going in.
