Nekton Bio Feather / BioTin Bird Supplement

NEKTON-Biotin supports smooth moulting and new plumage formation. NEKTON-Biotin contains all vital vitamins, amino acids, minerals, trace elements and 200,000 µg biotin/kg. NEKTON-Biotin gives the bird smooth and shiny plumage. The majority of plumage damage occurring in bird husbandry is exclusively due to incorrect nutrition. Since the plumage consists of protein-containing substance, a particularly rich and balanced protein diet of the bird is a prerequisite for the formation of a perfect plumage. For a functioning metabolism, the daily feed must contain sufficient vitamins, minerals and trace elements.

Much of the animal loss that occurs during moulting are based on insufficient or unbalanced protein intake and/or insufficient supply of vitamins and minerals. In the composition of NEKTON-Biotin, the unfavorable ratio of the amino acids in most plant-based feeds is explicitly taken into account and balanced.

No other vitamin preparation should be administered while using NEKTON-Biotin. NEKTON-Biotin is cold-water soluble and can easily be administered via drinking water or soft feed.

Additional Information

The protein consumed with the food is broken down by the bird in its gastrointestinal tract into the individual protein building blocks (amino acids) and from these in turn builds its own body proteins, which it also needs for plumage formation.

The formation of plumage in nestlings and the formation of new plumage in molting birds are extremely complex processes and are associated with a particularly high level of stress on the animal's entire organism.

Please note that NEKTON-Biotin must not be administered during breeding, as this can lead to disturbances in the incubation process.

Following this course of administration of NEKTON-Biotin, you should go back to the daily vitamin supply with NEKTON-S (multivitamin preparation) and NEKTON-MSA (mineral preparation).

Feeding Recommendation 

1 g NEKTON-Biotin to 250 ml water or 100 g soft food.

It is advisable to only prepare as much drinking water/soft food as the bird consumes daily and to change the water/food daily.

A level measuring spoon (enclosed) corresponds to 1 g NEKTON-Biotin.

In the case of severe plumage damage, a double or triple dose of NEKTON-Biotin can be given at the beginning until the beginning of the new plumage formation is visible. Then the normal dose is given until the feathering is fully completed.

Due to the higher content of vitamin D and trace elements compared to complete feed, this supplementary feed may only be fed to birds up to 5% of the daily ration.

Storage

NEKTON-Biotin should be stored dry, away from direct sunlight, between 15 °C and 25 °C.
