In the wild, the majority of aquarium fish do not prey on other fish. While only a small percentage are true piscivores, many commercial fish foods rely heavily on fish meal due to its availability and low cost. However, there are more nutritious and environmentally friendly options to nourish your aquatic pets.

Repashy Igapo' Explorer offers a unique blend of ingredients drawn from the rich ecosystems of Amazonian freshwater swamps. This formula includes a mix of invertebrates, fruits, nuts, seeds, legumes, greens, and herbs, providing a well-rounded diet for a wide range of aquarium fish such as tetras, barbs, danios, catfishes, loaches, cichlids, killifishes, livebearers, knifefishes, labyrinthfishes, rainbowfishes, gobies, and various unique species like puffers. Even some saltwater fish will eagerly consume this versatile food.

Preparation Guidelines:

Boil water on the stove. Transfer the boiling water to a bowl, then mix in the powder (1 part powder to 2-3 parts water) right away. Allow it to cool or pour it into a mold immediately. The gel sets at room temperature. Slice into portions or create a slow-release jerky. Once prepared, treat the gel as fresh food; it can be stored in a vented container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks or in the freezer for up to six months.

For jerky, follow the preparation steps above, pour into a deep container, and cut the gel into ¼ inch thick pieces. Dry completely in an oven or dehydrator at 150 °F (65 °C) for about 8-12 hours.
