- Turbo Leak Detection: Engineered to address a key cause of power loss: turbo system air leaks. This professional-grade tester quickly and accurately pinpoints even minor leaks using a smoke-injection method (adapters included), making them instantly visible. By enabling precise repairs, it effectively restores engine performance, boosts fuel efficiency, and reduces operating costs.
- Specification: This turbo leak detection kit includes 7 pairs of step adapters, a precision pressure gauge with a shut-off valve and regulator, and a smoke adapter. Adapts to a wide range of pipe sizes: 31mm(1-1/4"), 38mm(1-1/2"), 46mm(1-4/5"), 51mm(2"), 55mm(2-1/8"), 60mm(2-3/8"), 65mm(2-1/2"), 70mm(2-3/4"), 75mm(3"), 80mm(3-1/8"), 85mm(3-3/8"), 90mm(3-1/2"), 95mm(3-3/4"), 100mm(4"), ensuring a secure fit on most common piping interfaces for effective leak identification.
- Easy Operation: Begin by installing the correct adapters onto the system inlet and outlet. Connect the pressure gauge and smoke machine to the inlet side via the T-connector. After setting the desired pressure with the regulator knob, turn on the smoke machine and then pressurize the system using shop air. Following pressurization, shut off both the smoke machine and shop air. Finally, monitor the pressure gauge for stability and visually check for any smoke emission to identify the leak source.
- Wide Compatibility: This turbo boost test kit utilizes standard workshop air to pinpoint leaks. While engineered specifically for turbine systems, its diagnostic functionality extends to radiators, coolers, and various tube or pipe assemblies. This versatility ensures compatibility across a broad range of applications, from passenger and light commercial vehicles to heavy-duty trucks and marine systems. Please note:Verify adapter compatibility with your vehicle model prior to use.
- Pressure Gauge Tester: This boost leak test kit features an integrated 0-6 bar (0-86 psi) pressure gauge for at-a-glance system monitoring. The gauge is equipped with a built-in regulator: simply pull up the knob, rotate to set the desired pressure, and press down to lock. For safety, a pressure relief valve is included to prevent overpressure. When the system pressure exceeds the safety threshold (generally 36Psi/2.5Bar), you can manually pull the knob for pressure relief at any time.
